Renewable Energy Increases

It was great news yesterday that electricity generated from renewable sources in the UK last year increased by 21 per cent from the previous year, and now accounts for over 19 per cent of our total electricity generation.

Our total generating capacity from renewable sources in 2014 was 4.8 GW, and this has largely been delivered through a huge increase in our solar photovoltaic deployment, as well as increases in bioenergy capacity mainly at Drax.
