I had the pleasure today of visiting the proposed site for NuGen’s new nuclear plant at Moorside near Whitehaven in Cumbria.

I am very grateful to NuGen’s Chief Executive, Tom Samson, for taking the time to walk me through the details of their consultation process, and for explaining the layout of the site.

Moorside presents an exciting opportunity for new nuclear as part of our commitment to replace and expand our existing nuclear energy capacity across the UK.
