Urgent Bid for Farthinghoe Bypass

As residents will know, I am working with the local community in Farthinghoe to push for their much-needed and long-overdue bypass to be built as soon as possible.

I have been liaising with the County Council, our local LEP the South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership, and our new Sub-National Transport Body the England Economic Heartland Strategic Alliance to press a joint bid for funding for the bypass through the Department for Transport’s Major Road Network Fund.

I have been informed this morning, in a letter from the DfT, that the deadline for funding bids through the MRN is the 31st July 2019. I have therefore emailed the relevant people on NCC, SEMLEP, and EEHSA to request that they honour their commitment to submit a bid for funding and that they do so by the deadline.
