HS2 works in Chipping Warden

HS2 will be carrying out a series of works in the Chipping Warden area beginning at the end of July. They are expected to conclude at the end of the year. 

These include: 

• Setting up a works compound 

• Localised clearance of vegetation 

• Checking airfield is clear before we remove the topsoil 

• Removal of topsoil and storing it in earth bunds 

• Drainage and creation of settlement ponds and access roads 

• Excavation, movement and storage of earthworks
