Following my update last month on the news that Fusion sub-contractor Dawnus had gone into administration, I am pleased to confirm that Fusion are now re-tendering the contract to find a replacement and hope to recommence works on site in the coming weeks.
The tender was issued on the 28th March to three companies already working with Fusion, and this should mean that the disruption to construction works – including the much-needed Chipping Warden relief road – will have been minimal. I also understand that Fusion will be formally appointing the previous design team.
I am grateful to the HS2 Ltd team – in particular our Community Engagement Manager Nisha Mejer – for keeping the local community updated as this has progressed, and I understand she will be attending upcoming meetings in Boddington, Chipping Warden, Culworth and Greatworth this month to speak to residents directly.
As ever, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
