Andrea Leadsom Issues Statement on GDP Figures

Today's GDP figures are a sharp reminder that we need to stick to our long-term plan to grow the economy.

High inflation is the biggest barrier to growth - although there is more to do we have more than cut it in half from 11% to 4%.

The good news is wages are rising, mortgage rates are falling and we have just delivered a tax cut for 27 million working people.

We cannot allow Labour to put that at risk.
