Towcester Relief Road Virtual Meeting Update

Towcester Relief Road Virtual Meeting Update

I recently held a virtual meeting for residents to raise their concerns about the Towcester Relief Road. A number of other queries were raised with Highways England – they have helpfully provided feedback on some of these issues.

  1. A5 chamber defects. This chamber was replaced in November 2020 and HE have now raised a works order for their maintenance contractor to review and repair the adjacent surface defects. They plan for this work to be completed before the Easter break;

  1. Traffic signal damage to ref T48 and T49 signals. Whilst they found no safety concerns at the Brackley junction location inspected, they will review further if they are able to obtain any additional details of precise location. They have no reported safety concerns with traffic signals along this section of the A5.

If you are a Towcester resident and concerned about any other traffic issues in the area please get in contact with me directly.
