Coffee Mornings

One of my local manifesto pledges as your MP is to work with local community organisers to support and, where there is a need, help set up coffee and craft mornings in our villages across South Northants.

I am delighted that visits to coffee mornings in Duston, Grange Park, Syresham, Castle Ashby and Upper Boddington recently demonstrated how popular and valuable these events continue to be. For many people, these coffee mornings are essential points of social contact particularly during the colder and darker winter months. Comments such as “this is the first thing I put in my diary every month as I love meeting up with friends I have made here” and “the lady over there is always at the door when we open at 10am ready for her coffee” show the importance of such activities.

Well done to all of the fantastic volunteers who run coffee mornings in our rural communities; your hard work is invaluable to so many people.

You can find a list of coffee mornings in South Northants that I know about here, and if there are any missing please do let me know! If you are interested in setting up a coffee morning or similar group in your area, you may find this short guide helpful.
