As your Member of Parliament, I work on your behalf to raise issues and concerns on a range of important matters in South Northamptonshire, including on transport priorities.
I am focused on doing everything I can to bring forward the early delivery of the Towcester Relief Road and to secure full funding for the Farthinghoe Bypass; you can read more about my work on these projects in the “relief road” section of my website.
I also continue to raise concerns about the two proposed strategic rail freight interchanges, Rail Central and Northampton Gateway, and you can keep up with recent developments in my “rail interchange” section.
And on HS2, I was pleased to secure the most recent debate in Parliament on the business case and value for taxpayers money, and welcomed the Secretary of State for Transport’s subsequent announcement that he had called for an independent review of the project. You can read more on my efforts in the “HS2” section of my website.
I am due to meet with the Transport Secretary next Monday (7th October) to discuss all four of these issues, and I have written to him ahead of that meeting to set out the background and current position on each in more detail. You can read a copy of that letter here.
As ever, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or comments.
