Update on Salcey Forest- Written Ministerial Question

Salcey Forest is one of South Northamptonshire’s most loved outdoor spaces, and I remain concerned that the fabulous Tree Top Way is still closed to the public.

I tabled a Named Day Question to the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Rebecca Pow MP requesting an update on progress of its re-opening. Forestry England is operationally responsible for Salcey Forest and is making plans to restore the Tree Top Walk once the financial impact of COVID has been assessed and mitigated. Local planning consents will also need to be considered. 

I will continue to press the Department and Forestry England for the swift re-opening of the Tree Top Way and to ensure that local residents can once again use this precious resource.
